Guided Laos (Lao) Tours

SEE Asia Co. Ltd. Laos guided tour begins in Vientiane, the present capital and former French Colonial seat for Laos and later the headquarters for America's "Secret War", waged mainly by Air America against the North Vietnamese Army on the Ho Chi Minh Trail and the Lao Peoples Communist Army. We take you through Vientiane's temples, architecture and history, then fly to Luang Prabang.

Luang Prabang was the ancient capital of all southeast Asia with all other countries being vassal states to the central king. Luang Prabang today is a very quiet and peaceful small city, much the same as Chiang Mai was 36 years ago. We spend the majority of the Lao tour visiting temples, ancient ruins, museums, caves, waterfalls and hill tribe villages in this area.

Also available are guided tours to southern Lao, Paksang, Thakhek, Savannakhet, Pakse, Attapu (all old Air America hotspots), Champasak, Mekong River waterfalls and areas along the old Ho Chi Minh Trail next to Vietnam. For those of us who flew over these areas during the war, a ground view of the Ho Chi Minh Trail provides a very different perspective.
